We Are Not Humanity

Our current way of life as a species has caused us and our environment great harm and has put us in a position of grave danger, both ecologically, socially, mentally and spiritually.
In order to be able to survive and prosper on this planet, we humans need to rethink and reinvent many aspects of our lives. How we consume and produce, how we work, how we educate, how we eat, how we organize our societies etc.
This movement and this blog will try to encourage and facilitate it's own little part of this process by providing a platform for a new kind of debate, presenting new questions and producing events and performances that bring these issues into the publics eye and ear.

Background Info:
During the last several millenniums the human species has developed and multiplied at an unprecedented pace.
Due to this spread and growth we felt we had to set ourselves up with different systems, ideologies and institutions to attempt to improve and regulate our lives; States, Governments, Religions, Banks, Schools, Police, Courts, Military, Corporations... all man made mechanisms, not part of our inherent nature.
But are these systems really working? Is the human species "successful" and happy? How has this affected the rest of the community of life (our environment), and why has man become so separate from it?
The title We Are Not Humanity, is to imply that humans in the beginning of the 21st century are not the final product of evolution. We are still in a process, meaning also that the social programs and ideologies that are a natural part of our lives now are also still 'work in progress'. We should not give up on far reaching change if we realize that something does not work well.

The objective here is to stimulate curiosity, putting common ideas and ideals in a new perspective and advocating responsibility and self thought.
Real change for our society and environment can only come from changed minds and hearts living a very different kind of life from what we are living today and not only from new rules and laws.
It is therefore that presenting and discussing these ideas also in the form of art is not just a "cool" way to speak of serious issues. It is, I believe, the best way if not the only way to truly speak to people's hearts.

This is a place to exchange ideas and be exposed to different perspectives, offer tips and information on how to create real change and raise awareness to the people who are close to you.
